INTERNAL POLICY STATEMENT

Reviewed July 2025 by the Vector24 CEO.

Internal Policy Statement (for Safeguarding/Compliance)

Our transport service is classified as non-regulated activity under current CQC guidance. Vehicles used are standard, non-adapted road vehicles  and are not clinically equipped. Staff and volunteers do not administer medical care, and passengers are not transported for the purpose of receiving treatment during the journey. While appointments may involve healthcare settings, transport is provided solely for access, not for care delivery.

To ensure clarity and risk management:

  • All staff are briefed that they are not to provide clinical care.
  • Vehicles must not display any wording that implies a medical transport function.
  • Referral sources and passengers are informed of the non-clinical nature of the support.
  • Referral agencies and users are informed that the service is non clinical.
  • Should any passenger require medical support whilst in transit emergency services will be contacted and the journey paused.
